Name: Petronius Corvinus Fortunato de Lato Vado
Alias: N/A
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Race: Mutant
Heritage: Roman/Latin
Eye color: Silver
Hair color: Black
Occupation: Bad guy
Grade: College
Mutation: Illusions - Just like Demarco, Petro is able to create illusions of the people that his victims love the most. He's free to do what he wishes with these illusions, either make them scary, or make them happy, and trick the person into a trap. If these illusions are hit, then it feels just like it would when someone slaps ice covered marble.
Slight telepathy - Petro isn't actually able to read someone's mind, in fact he can't see/hear anything within a person's mind. By slight telepathy, I mean he's able to see the faces of the people his victim loves the most. Their faces and names flash across his vision, and then he can use that information to make his next illusion.
Fear - If, and when his illusions are destroyed, they always leave a slight sense of paranoia within a person. If the illusion is run through, blocked off, or destroyed then it's like running through snow with no clothes on. It sends shivers down a person's spine. It's an intense fear that hangs in the air for a bit, how long depends on the person.
Abilities: Incredibly quick agility, and speed. He's faster than the normal person when it comes to running, or dodging if he's in a healthy condition. Petro is also able to climb buildings without any aid if he can find the SLIGHTEST foothold. Adept with daggers, and knives. Capable-- if barely, of hiding his latin/roman accent, it's dwindled over the years. Able to speak: Romanian, Spanish, Latin, Italian, and a little bit of Greek.
History: Being the middle child of 6 children, Petronius could be easily overlooked, except he wasn't. Even as a child his odd eye color had always captured the light in everyone's eyes, and the love in their hearts. It wasn't just his appearance either, Petro learned extremely fast. Living on their large farm near Capena, Roma, he wasn't far from the city physically. However, in Petro's mind he was far off in a land all his own. He often fought with his older brothers, who were two years older than he was, but 9 months apart themselves. Being as young as he was at the time, all the farm work Petro did hadn't made a large impact on his physique in later years. In fact, it was a wonder why he was able to stay outside in the Sun for most of the day and never get the slightest shade darker. His skin was always, and forever will be creamy white. At around the age of 7, Petro's father's mother, Fortuna passed away, and the family was torn, especially his father and grandfather who took the news horribly and seemed to go mad for a few months.
It was around this sad period of his life, Petro's powers began to manifest. He spent most of his time with his father who was neglected by his own father, whom chose to sit in his room day by day, withering away by the window. During this time Petro spent with his father, it wasn't uncommon for Decimus to see the death of his father fast in approaching. At first he thought it was because his father refused to show himself for more than a few moments per day. However, even after the old man had recovered from his loss, Petro kept giving his father these images, and it wasn't just him. Every time his older brothers went out to town on their horses, his sisters worried for their safety and often asked them to come back safely. Petro was too young at the time to go, so he stayed behind, and to the dismay of his sisters, they saw their brothers having a horrid accident and not returning home to them.
Eventually, the family ruled out insanity, because nearing his 9th birthday, Petro finally cracked. He wanted the illusions to stop. He kept seeing the faces of his family upon other faces when he looked at everyone, and then the screams of terror that followed the horrible images he saw playing like a movie in his head, followed by painful headaches and bone chilling fear when they were over. They figured something was wrong with him. Rumors of mutants floated about, saying each and every one of them as savage and blood thirsty as the last. Mutants needed to be locked up, however, they hadn't thought so when it came to Petro. He was a well behaved boy, he didn't MEAN to scare people. So, they often just ignored these illusions, and began to live with them, like they weren't even there. If he just so happened to scare them, Petro apologized ten times over before retreating with his bay and black mustang into the farthest corner of the farm behind the trees where they gathered sap for the winter.
Until he was 11. Corvinus had gotten weak, and his body's systems were getting weaker and weaker, ready to shut down. He asked Petro to stay by his side, calm, and steadfast. The boy missed school that day to stay with his grandfather and grace him with his 'angel's appearance'. Why Corvinus asked for this, Petro didn't know, but he also didn't object. That day, Corvinus passed away, his hand going limp and pale in Petro's hand shortly after he finished speaking with the boy about his horrible powers. Petro hated them, but grandpa thought they were a gift he had yet to understand. After his passing, Petro cried and wailed, only to have his father run in after brushing down the horses. Upon walking in, Petro had set up an illusion that looked EXACTLY like reality, his grandfather dead, him crying, the only difference was the fear that washed through Demicus. Upon feeling the fear, he recognized it, went to Petro, grabbed him by the hair and threw him back, and began to hit him for the first time in his life. Demicus didn't know that his father was dead, he didn't want to believe it, he said that his son had crossed the last line, he was sick and tired of the grief and suffering he caused. Finally, when Petro told him it wasn't an illusion, he was only beaten more for making him look bad in his father's last moments.
After those beatings, life only got worse at home, until Petro finally ran away from the hatred, neglect, and abuse. He traveled to the heart of Roma. He learned to become a thief, how to fight, how to survive and rely on only himself. Until, nearing age 14, a shady figure, named Demarco had found him. For his 14th birthday, Petro was given a PROPER hot bath, a proper hot meal, clothes, and a trip to England. Ever since then, Demarco taught him how to control his powers, how to use them for his own gain, how to hate humans, and when it's okay to kill. Everything else, Petro learned and honed on his own. Demarco was like a second father to him, except no matter what, he wouldn't beat the boy for being who, or what he was.
Personality: Isolated. Secretive. Mysterious. (I'm not sure yet... I'll have to add onto this later, that's all I can think of now.)
