Fayette Velsharoon had decided she would get a part time job over the holidays to try and earn some extra cash and lessen the pressure on her dad back in France whenever she wanted something. It would certainly be nice working again, Fay wasn't used to being so useless and still like this. With a few job applications in her hand she walked from the school in high heeled furry boots, black skinny jeans tucked into them, a red and black furry striped turtle neck sweater dress with matching belt around her midsection, and of course, a red beret lopsided on her head. As far as she was concerned, despite the bitter cold nipping at her cheeks and nose, it was a good day. Brown gold eyes looked around and then back to the papers in her hand as she considered who's she should drop off first.
Demarco smiled from inside his safe haven. The night had fallen over the London street, leaving yet another student out and open for attack. Silly, stupid kids. Silently, he slid the window open and pursed his lips in the cold. From his lips came a long stream of black smoke, looking like ink in water. Of course, Fayette wouldn't see it, as she was looking the other way. Slowly, the street seemed to become darker, and this heavy darkness weighted down all the light, and left a mostly dark street, surrounding Fayette. Demarco smiled. Out of that darkness, a naked, bleeding, bruised woman limped her way along the sidewalk. Her mouth hung open, jaw somewhat displaced. Monochromatic black eyes drooped, and from her mouth came a sound somewhat like the creaking of wood floors. The street was silent except for her...
Fayette Velsharoon decided she'd drop her first application off at the cafe, since it was the closest destination. However, the area seemed to get cold and eerie, her footsteps seemed to reverberate louder than before against the pavement as she walked and soon, she came to a stop looking around only now noticing how deserted it was. Was this normal? For a busy city like London to be so... quiet? Fay doubted it, but payed no mind as she began to hurry for the cafe again, only to skid to a stop against the slush of the snow freezing over concrete. There.. was a bloody bruised woman limping in her direction. Her brow furrowed in worry as she stepped away from the woman. "H-H-Hello. A-are you okay? Ma'am you don't look like you're in good condition." Fay didn't have a coat to cover her with because the sweater dress and the thin sweater she had under was enough to keep her warm. "Would you like some help?" Something about this woman made shivers run down her spine.
Demarco. The woman turned her head to the girl on the street, as she passed her. The little spiderwebs of veins under her cheeks could be clearly seen, and as the bare naked woman walked passed, things only grew quieter. It seemed as though the woman was just going to keep walking, until she stopped dead in her tracks. Her head turned a full 180 degrees, the sound of her bones cracking echoing off the walls of the city. Her jaw raised, and her mouth nearly closed, but the ends of her mouth stretched far beyond the normal smile, literally touching her eyes. It seemed as though a scapel had cut the smile onto the woman's face, as drops of blood began to trinkle down the woman's face, and then dripping onto her breasts. From behind... in front of the woman, the darkness could be seen, stirring.
Fayette Velsharoon thought for a second the lady wouldn't need anything or didn't want any help. Fay began to wring the applications in her hands as she stared at the woman. "O-o-okay. Maybe not?" Fay spoke to herself and was about to back up and walked back to the school, however the woman turning her head and the loud cracking of her bones as it turned all the way around made her face twitch in disgust and she froze in horror, brown gold eyes pinned on the woman's face as her smile spread out and up to reach her eyes. Fayette knew something was off, but she couldn't put her finger on it.. a shiver ran down her spine as her hands began to tremble around the job applications. A twitchy, horrified smile was given back to the bleeding naked woman as she took several more steps back towards the academy.
Demarco stepped behind Fay, though invisible now as the illusion took full control of the London street. His voice whispered in her ear, and even at a whisper it echoed around the area. "Mmmhmhmhm... Hello, Fayette..." The woman in front of Fay seemed to melt into the ground in an instant, and from the darkness came... Fay's mom? There she was, just as naked and dark as the woman she had just seen. Her body was cut up, and it bled constantly. Oily hair hung in front of her sinking face. She waddled along the street, slow and deliberate. From behind her, many others with the same sort of appearance slowly walked behind her, all were sad and very... very dead.
Fayette Velsharoon stopped and jumped when a sudden whisper seemed to reverberate around the area, cold and full of malice. She looked around and tried to avoid the naked woman. "H-How do you know my name?" She looked around for someone.. anyone.. and then, her eyes stopped and widened. From the depths of the dark London streets her mother came waddling up. Eyes widened and her jaw dropped as she started to tremble, eyes bubbling with tears. "Mama-- N-No, it can't be." She shook her head dropping the applications onto the snowy ground and gripping her arms tightly her knuckles turned white. "She died-- She's dead! My mom is dead! She can't be walking.. she... she was so sick! Walking was painful- When? How? Why? LEAVE ME ALONE!" She shrieked at everything and everything still taking steps away from the dead creatures approaching.
Demarco put his hand on her shoulder, still not visible. He yanked back hard, as her mother burst into a flurry of locusts, as did all the other zombies. The screeching of all the locusts flying away was so much louder than it should have been. Fay would be on her butt, and the locusts just flew and screamed, moving to circle over Fay in a tornado of insects. ARE YOU SCARED?! AHAHAHAHA. AHAHAHAHA. Demarco's shrill voice reverberated from every corner. Demarco only kept laughing, as the locusts slowly closed in on Fay. They got closer and closer, seeming to engulf her completely. A hand seemed to reach out of the locusts, and if it was able to make contact with Fay, she would feel a sudden intense pain come from that spot, as her veins broke, and the blood was pulled out of her body through her very pores.
Fayette Velsharoon jumped and fell back on her rear as she watched the zombies turn into locusts. Eyes widened and she watched in horror. Her mother couldn't be alive! This was all a trick! Fay scooted away along on her rear, turned to get up and run as the locusts grew near. "NO! I won't lose! I won't! You can't beat me! Not ever again! I won't bow down and get hurt again! No way!" She was referring to how she'd been abused and bent to the will of the scientists in the lab, she hated those years. As she ran, Fay couldn't bear to look back behind her, she was terrified, and would use all of her strength to escape if she had to.
Demarco growled. He just needed her to scream. A single, solid scream. The locusts were faster than her, in any case, and they would catch up. The locusts formed a rough humanoid form from the hand down, which was outstretched to only touch the girl. Again, if that happened, her veins would break and her blood would be pulled out of her body through her skin, which would be excruciatingly painful. Hopefully, THAT would be enough to get the little bitch to scream.
Fayette Velsharoon kept running, but soon found herself sprawled in the snow after she tripped over a snow mound. Fay covered her head with her hands and shook her head crying, eyes closed and dripping with tears. "Leave me alone! Leave me alone! GO AWAY!" When Fay next opened her eyes, she'd lost complete control over her powers, that part of her mind was no longer her own so they glowed bright gold, no whites, or pupils visible. "I SAID GO AWAY!" She yelled, but it was already too late, a telekinetic shield had formed around Fay just before the locusts touched her and expanded in every direction at least 6 feet before disappearing. Fay stood, and brushed herself off, her once horrified, or smiling face was blank and stoic, white and red like ornaments from the cold. Glowing gold eyes blinked a few times and the lamp post beside her twisted and curled dangerously before becoming uprooted and being swung in the direction of the locusts. The violent crash of the glass breaking caused Fay to become conscious of her actions-- but how to stop them was impossible, even as she gripped her ears tightly and tried to block out all sound to concentrate and relax, if she wasn't careful, her power reserves would disintegrate and she'd be worst off than she would of been with just the locusts.
Demarco decided to give up. Wasting anymore energy would only exhaust his own reserves, which weren't full enough for just a child. Besides, he wouldn't waste that much energy on such a weak mutant anyway. Look at her she couldn't even control her own powers. He disappeared, as did the rest of the illusion, as the world slowly faded back to it's original form. She made it away... this time.
Fayette Velsharoon sobbed bitterly as she clamped her hands over her ears and whimpered as she lowered her head and closed her eyes trying to focus all the energy she had on shutting off her abilities. She kept sobbing trying to clear her mind of the images given from that cruel illusion.. it had to be an illusion, her mother couldn't still be wandering the earth, she was a king woman and deserved to move on. The flying boomerang of a lamp post stopped floating around and fell to the floor, crumpled and broken the glowing of Fay's eyes calming down before completely disappearing. The reality of it all slowed her movements as she finally let go of her head, and stood up straight. For a moment she felt fine-- until fatigue hit like a freight train and she collapsed onto her knees, body shaking, hyperventilating with gasping breaths, her arms and legs frozen from the cold. "I still won't be beaten." She muttered to herself, standing up her legs almost gave out instantly, but she managed a few steps before collapsing completely within a snow drift, reluctant to try to move- She couldn't move. It was too much.. She used too much power, Fay was an idiot.. then again, what would of happened if she let the bugs touch her? Would it have been worse? Her eyes closed soon thereafter.
Elizabeth Crawley was on her way back to the school, left foot stepping in front of the other, and so on, and so forth. Blue eyes were scanning the scenery, looking for anything suspicious, anyone following her. Something was off, on this night, but Liz had no idea what. Then she spotted the girl, push herself up, take a few steps, before collapsing in the snow drift. Elizabeth didn't see anything suspicious: no trap, no one around. It just seemed that the poor girl was in trouble. So, Teufel ran over to the girl in the snow, crouching down beside her, rolling her on her back, with a forceful, but gentle push. With her push check, Liz determined that the girl was still alive, so she slid an arm under the knees, and one behind the back, slowly lifting the girl out of the snow, Liz's strength working hard. Elizabeth would make her way back to the school, as quickly, as possible. Upon arrival, the girl took the injured down through the janitorial closet, and down to the subbasement, hurrying through the hallway, to the medical center, laying her in a bed. The girl needed help, so Liz hurried to the intercom, pressed the button, and said, "There is somevone injured in da medical center, please come immediately."
